The wheel should work for everyone: with a keyboard, with a screen reader, without animation and zoomed to 200%. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA.

What already works

  • Every control can be reached with the keyboard; Enter or Space presses the focused button, Esc closes windows.
  • The winner is announced to screen readers as soon as the wheel stops.
  • With "Reduce motion" turned on in your system, the wheel goes straight to the result.
  • Text contrast is at least 4.5:1 and buttons are at least 44 × 44 pixels.

Known limitations

With many segments the labels on the wheel get too small to read; the full list is always next to it in the entries field. Joining a live room by QR code needs a camera, but the room code can be typed instead.

In Chrome on iPhone, Share is in the address bar. The icon appears next to your other apps.

  • Chrome and Edge: the install icon is at the right of the address bar, or in the menu under Install.
  • Safari on Mac: File → Add to Dock.
  • Firefox cannot install sites as apps: open this page in Chrome or Edge.

The app opens in its own window and the wheel spins without internet.
