Draw with proof makes a giveaway checkable. It works in three steps.
1. Commit
Before the spin, we lock the list and publish its fingerprint (SHA-256) plus a sealed fingerprint of a secret seed.
2. Spin
The winner is calculated from the secret seed and the list. The wheel then lands on that entry.
3. Reveal
After the spin we publish the seed. Anyone can recompute the fingerprints and the winner and get the same result.
Questions
Can the host change the result?
Not without it showing: changing the list or the seed after the commit changes the fingerprints anyone can check.
Do I need to trust this site?
No. The check runs in your own browser, and the method is described here so it can be reproduced independently.
