  • Make pairs for peer marking by setting groups to half the class size.
  • Create mixed teams for a quiz.
  • Reshuffle seating groups each half term.

Questions

Are the groups balanced?

Yes. Students are dealt out one by one after a random shuffle, so group sizes differ by at most one.

Can I keep certain students apart?

Not automatically yet. Reshuffle until you are happy, or move names between groups after copying them.

How many groups can I make?

Between 2 and 50 groups, as long as there are at least as many students as groups.
